| The Bergen County Controline
Flyers are a group of modelers dedicated to the advancement of
model aviation, primarily controline modeling. To that end we are
seeking to establish a permanent flying site in Bergen County. We
have been fortunate to have worked with County Administrators to achieve
a very fine temporary flying site, considered by many to be the best on
the East coast! |
The membership of the Bergen
County Controline Flyers stage a contest in the autumn at our
temporary flying site. The proceeds from this event are donated to
the New Jersey Aviation Hall of Fame and Museum in nearby
Teterboro. We hope that our contest, scheduled for September 16th and
17th will be held coincidentally with the Museum's Air Show!

Several members of the Bergen
County Controline Flyers are certified by the
Academy of Model Aeronautics
as "Intro Pilots". This certification allows us
to introduce the exciting sport of controline model aviation to people
under full Academy insurance at not cost! We provide
all the necessary equipment to learn about the sport, including
airplane and fuel! If learning more about
controline flying appeals to you, please contact one of our Club
officers to schedule a lesson! Returnees are urged to avail themselves
of our "Intro Air Force" to insure that they have their
"sea legs" before flying their own ships! |
| There are several web sites
devoted to the joys and excitement of controline flying:
Phil
Brown does a terrific job compiling and listing sites that
relate to our sport.
Windy Urtnowski has dedicated himself to providing the highest
quality goods and services for many years and is a true Champion!
Ultra Hobby has a
great selection of stunt products, including laser cut kits. They
are Texan, but we don't hold that against them!
John Brodak
has the best and most complete catalog of controline products in the
land. He also manufactures terrific kits, imports engines,
provides paint, and much much more! The Father's Day
contest in John's backyard has grown to the largest
controline event in the land!
Stuka
Stunt Works offers a great
selection of models and accessories. There is also a link there to
the famous "Stuka Stunt Forum"
Tom
Morris offers all sorts of great Stunt products, ranging from
the smallest widget to complete Expert level stunt ships!
